Alison Maitland
Alison came to Inside Performance whilst becoming accredited in sport psychology with BASES. To develop her work with clients, she trained with Inside Performance™ as a Master Practitioner of NLP, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnotherapy. She works with governing bodies, teams and individuals at local, national and international levels, across a diverse range of sports, from real tennis, rackets and golf, to rowing, football and netball.
She has a Masters degree in Sport Coaching from Brunel University, where she is completing a PhD looking at organisational behaviour and relationships in elite rowing. She uses this research and her experience in psychology, as a lecturer and as a sport coach to a performance netball team.
Prior to focusing on sport, Alison spent a number of years as Human Resource Director of a multinational organisation. This enables her to combine her warm and human style with a strategic and developmental approach to working with clients and organisations.
In her spare time, she supports her netballing and rowing daughters (as a taxi!) and a husband with a passion for golf. Like Louise, she has football in her blood, as her great grandfather captained the England football team, although Alison claims this was in the days when it truly was the beautiful game!
