Louise is the most highly qualified and experienced trainer of NLP for Sport in the world, and the ONLY Accredited Sports Psychologist delivering recognised certification NLP Sport Practitioner Courses. As recognition of this professionalism she is registered with the Health Care Professions Council, which is a regulatory body set up to protect the public. To do this, they keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards for training, professional skills, behaviour and health, which in Louise’s case relates to her professionalism and ability to offer services to the public as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist.

As well as a leading GB Sports Psychologist, Louise is also the main trainer for Inside Performance™, and is a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), a Master Trainer of Time Line TherapyTM and an instructor of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy.

Following her training in psychological counselling and then clinical hypnotherapy, Louise was introduced to NLP by a former Roehampton student, and despite a long initial period of rejecting NLP due to it’s ‘lack of empirical evidence’, she finally gave in and decided to test it out for herself.

The practical application that NLP gave was enough to convince her of it’s usefulness in a whole range of areas, most notably in sport, and the decision to start a company delivering NLP for Sport was made very early on in 2002.

Since then, Inside Performance has gone from strength to strength, delivering programmes not only for Sport, but also open NLP programmes for individuals in a wide range of professions, and providing accessible Sport Psychology to coaches in a variety of Sports, both at Olympic and Elite Level, as well as grassroots, disability and progression.

Louise retains a strong passion for wellness and performance in the workplace, and has devised a simple yet highly effective programme for executives looking for high performance whilst balancing this with health and well being. Combining her executive coaching experience with performance and wellbeing is proving very popular with clients and organisations alike, and is an area Louise is particularly enjoying working in!

On a personal note, Louise continues to play hockey, despite joking about leaving her zimmer frame on the side of the pitch, and has been the Club Captaing of Old Kingstonian HC since 2009. She can also be found hurtling down mountains on a snowboard and whilst frozen water is ideal for snowboarding, a nice 22° ocean is far better for windsurfing, which although Louise hasn’t cracked….yet…. she enjoys the challenge of learning something new whilst loving being terrified in equal measures.

Somewhat less dangerous Louise started playing tennis during lockdown which provided an opportunity to ‘learn a new sport to mix things up’, and desperately wishes she’d taken up up as a youngster!

Acknowledged by many as an expert in ‘Emotions in Sport’, this accolade has come about having supported West Bromwich Albion all her life, so she is no stranger to the ups and downs of competitive life, and recognises that without ‘The Baggies’ she probably wouldn’t be the same person she is today!

She has been described by others as down-to-earth, open and funny, and would describe herself as committed, fun loving and horrendously untidy – all running at the same time!
