NLP for Clubs and Governing Bodies of Sport
We're proud of the fact that we have been involved with a number of Clubs and Governing Bodies for Sport over the last 8 years, most notably The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Sport Scotland and UK Sport.
We've been priviledged to work with coaches, athletes and support professionals from British Cycling, Southampton FC, British Canoe Union,WASPS RFU, British Equestrian Federation, London Irish RFU, British Para-Dressage, WBA FC, England Hockey, The FA, British Swimming, Fulham FC, and British Diving to name but a few!! (For more information, please see our case sudies)
Inside Performance™ have been delivering training and CPD programmes as part of 'The UK Sport World Class Coaching Strategy', including both the Elite Coach Development Programme and the Winning Coaches Programme to develop and deliver High Performance Coaching Teams and Podium Coaches for athletes expected to medal.
As UK Sport state 'world-class performance can only be delivered by world class personnel'.
Because they demand the highest level of training, commitment and dedication in whatever they do (and let's face it, to even get to the Olympics is a major success, let alone winning a medal!), we feel that this is a real endorsement of the programmes we run.
So why would clubs and governing bodies be interested in what we do?
Well, to
answer that, lets have a look at some survey feedback received from
coaches and sports professionals that had attended the Inside Performance™ NLP Practitioner for Sport*. The survey questioned participants in years 1 to 5 after attending about the usefulness of the course to both personal and professional lives. Finding showed that:
- 100% of respondents stated the programme had had a positive impact on their Personal and Professional Development
- 100% of respondents reported professional benefits resulting in a direct impact on key performance variables for athletes
- 100% of respondents reported personal benefits resulting in a direct impact on their professional role as a coach
- 100% of respondents reported an improvement in their understanding of people
- 75% of respondents reported an improvement in their communication abilities
- 38% of respondents reported they now take more individual responsibility
- 50% of respondents reported they became more positive
- 61% of respondents report using skills learnt on the programme to resolve conflicting situations
- 66% of respondents report an improvement in personal and professional confidence
- 22 % of respondents report an improvement in the way they deliver feedback to athletes
“The work [on this programme] helped in the bonding of our team in qualifying for the Olympics. Then having gained good results, we planned for success”
“Basically, NLP helped me achieve my lifetime’s ambition of training a paralympic Gold Medallist. It enabled me to keep my head – not panic, cope under pressure. Rationalise “hiccups” along the way and not let them affect the long term goal.”
“Big impact to myself. Therefore, big impact to my athletes”
