How many people do you normally have on your programmes?
Depending on the programme, anywhere from 8 to 16 people. The average is about 12, and there are always assistants with groups larger than this.
Can I get support after the course has finished?
Absolutely! We love to hear from our Practitioner and Master Practitioner graduates and are happy for you to get in touch with any questions you may have within your practice. Our Member's Area and monthly e-newsletter will also keep you up to date with new areas and generally keep your NLP skills in tip top form! We also have a Facebook page where we have discussions, videos, etc so please join us at Facebook.
Do you offer any discounts or special offers?
Yes. As these vary throughout the year and from programme to programme, it's best to give us a call to see what's available. We always offer group discounts for people booking and paying together, and there are also discounts if you book and pay for more than one course at a time.
What are your venues like?
Beautiful! We use two centres, both based on the London/Surrey borders. The first, Warren House is a beautifully restored 19th century private house, considered to be one of the finest conferencing facilities in the UK, and offers luxury as well as great conferencing facilities and service.
Our other venue is Parkstead House, another beautiful old venue, based at Roehampton University which again offers great surroundings and rooms, overlooking Richmond Park. Check on our details for which venue we use as it will be dependant on availability and time of year.
For 2012 we're lloking to acquire our own training facility, specifically for Inside Performance trainings so we can have it acactly as it's needs to be for our trainings.
What are your Terms and Conditions?
You can find our Terms and Conditions for all our courses by clicking here. Or alternatively, our Terms and Conditions for all our products by clicking here
What if I'm unhappy with the course?
Well, although we have never had anyone unhappy with their training, sometimes people make a mistake in their choice. We are careful to ensure you are happy with the booking you make and we NEVER do pressure selling - when you book it's because you want to book - in your time. So, in the unlikely event you believe that the course is not delivering what it claims to deliver, then you will be entitled to your money back on proof that you are not receiving the training that you were expecting. For full details, please see our Terms and Conditions
Where did you do your trainers training?
All the trainers and assistants used by us are either taught by Dr Tad James of the Tad James Company LLC in Newport Beach, California, or by Inside Performance and are all experienced trainers, coaches and in some cases, hypnotherapists. We also have the benefit of training with some of the world's best NLP trainers, such as Robert Dilts, Suzi Smith, Ian McDermott and David Shepherd - bringing strength in depth and also a broad knowledge base to everything we do.
How many assistants do you use?
That depends on the number of people on our trainings. We limit the amount of people we have on our programmes as we believe it gives you a more in-depth approach to your learning. We operate a policy of 1 trainer/assistant to every 10-12 people on our courses, depending on the specific course.
How do you get to assist?
When you graduate from your course, simply let us know you are interested and we will include you on our assistants list. Then, when the opportunity arises, you can come alsong - a great way to refresh and deepen your knowledge from a totally different perspective.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The costs quoted include all manuals, pre-learning materials, certification fees and refreshments.
What about VAT?
Unless stated, all payments are subject to VAT at the standard rate of 20%.
Are you insured?
Yes. Although the work we do is safe, and we all adhere to the codes of conduct of the ABNLP, ABH, BASES and the BPS, ensuring a safe and ethical learning environment, public and private liability insurance is essential, and we are fully covered....just in case!
What subjects do you cover on the practitioner course?
For information on the content of all our programmes, please download our brochures here
Are your courses approved by anyone?
Inside Performance and its trainings are accredited by the ABNLP (American Board of NLP) to ensure specific standards of training and ethics are met. All certification programmes such as the NLP Practitioner for Sport and NLP Master Practitioner programmes, upon successful completion, will offer certification that is accredited by the ABNLP.
You have a strong emphasis on Sport - are all of your attendees from a sport background?
No. We run a highly acclaimed sport specific NLP practitioner course which is tailored towards High Performance for Sport, but we have also had people attending from business backgrounds who are interested in the transfer from sport to business. Of course, if you don't like sport, then we wouldn't recommend the sport programme to you! Our practitioner courses have individuals from all walks of life, which we think is great, and although it is an emphasis on sport, this diversity creates an interesting and varied learning environment, and allows those attending to experience situations, issues and stories that they may not have come across before - as well as the ones they have!
Does the NLP & Sport Psychology Home Learning Programme certify you as an NLP Practitioner?
No, this programme is a great way to have access to all the learning and materials from our NLP Practitioner for Sport Programme. So you can develop your NLP skills before choosing to join us on the Practitioner course and receive all the additional benefits of an Inside Performance programme as well as certification as an NLP Practitioner. We’ll even give you a £250 voucher off the course with prior learning from the Home Learning Programme.
The Home Learning pack is ideal for anyone who can’t quite commit to the full practitioner course right now, isn’t interested in certification but would just like to get to grips with the info and skills in their own time, or if you’re already a Practitioner or Master Practitioner looking to add sport to your NLP skills base.
Is there any exam to do in the Home Learning Programme?
No exams or tests, just follow the programme through in your own time and in your own preferred way. We recognise that everyone has their own unique learning style, so the pack is designed for you to be flexible in how you approach it and assess yourself in your own time and experience. And for the more structured people out there, we also have a guide to how you could potentially follow the programme through to get the most out of your NLP learning.
How much one-on-one work have your trainers done?
Everyone who trains for Inside Performance is both qualified and experienced in training and one-to-one work, and their background denotes what particular work they have done (therapeutic, coaching, sport psych etc.) ...and of course, everyone that works with us is experienced in their own areas, so we only ever match a client to someone who is qualified to meet those particular needs.
Louise - Before becoming a trainer the majority of my work was one-on-one (sometimes with groups), and I actually trained as a clinical hypnotherapist and counsellor before doing any training in NLP. I did private work, and voluntary work with MIND in Richmond for two years, plus my placement for training was at the Eating Disorders Unit at the Priory Hospital, Roehampton which gave me invaluable experience working with eating disorders and also within a therapeutic setting in a hospital.
Most of my work now takes a more business or performance based slant, although I like to think that with the background I have I bring a human element to everything I do! I obviously do a lot of sport psychology work, working with players and teams from different sports and stages of their career - from club level to Olympic.
Bob - Much of the work Bob does now in the NLP/performance areas is based on one-to-one work and he is steadily building a reputation as a gentle yet persistent practitioner/coach who works patiently with clients to get the results they want. Bob has had great success, from helping youngsters with their exams, getting people back on track to work and even helping a couple with 'developing' a family!
Katie - Tends to work mainly in the performance areas of Sport, and focused much of her attention throughout her studies on this area, particularly with football. Although she has more recently worked in a wider variety of areas such as anxiety issues and personal growth, her main interest is working within the sport field to help athletes achieve the results they want.
How do the one-to-one sessions work? How many sessions will I need?
Because we're all different, it's difficult to say how many sessions you’re likely to need. We like to make sure that everyone who sees us knows exactly how the process works and that they’re comfortable with it. Therefore we will invite you for an initial 30min chat or phone call free of charge, to speak to someone confidentially about the area you would like to work with and how we’ll work together to get there. Then if you’re happy, we’ll go ahead with the session(s) at the agreed rate. We will give you an honest opinion about whether we feel there is someone here who can help you, and if we can't, we'll do our best to recommend someone who can.
Please call us for an informal, no obligation chat on 020 8398 2127
As questions are asked, we will add them to the list, so please feel free to ask away......
