Louise Deeley CPsychol

tl_files/inside_performance/Louise 4 colour low.jpgLouise is the founder of Inside Performance, a successful Performance Coach, BASES Accredited Sport Psychologist, BPS Chartered Psychologist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and former Senior Lecturer in Sport Psychology at Roehampton University.

The only Accredited Sport Psychologist delivering recognised certification NLP Practitioner Courses, she is registered with the Health Professions Council, which is a regulatory body set up to protect the public. To do this, they keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards for training, professional skills, behaviour and health, which in Louise's case relates to her professionalism and ability to offer services to the public as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist.

She is also the main trainer for Inside Performance, and is a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), a Master Trainer of Time Line TherapyTM and an instructor of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy.

Following her training in psychological counselling and then clinical hypnotherapy, Louise was introduced to NLP by a former Roehampton student, and despite a long initial period of rejecting NLP due to it's 'lack of empirical evidence', she finally gave in and decided to test it out for herself.

The practical application that NLP gave was enough to convince her of it's usefulness in a whole range of areas, most notably in sport, and the decision to start a company delivering NLP for Sport was made very early on in 2002.

Since then, Inside Performance has gone from strength to strength, delivering programmes for both Sport and business at the highest levels, and providing accessible Sport Psychology to coaches at many different levels.

On a personal note, Louise continues to play hockey, despite joking about leaving her zimmer frame on the side of the pitch, and can also be found hurtling down mountains on a snowboard. Frozen water is ideal for snowboarding, but a nice 22° ocean is far better for windsurfing, which although Louise hasn't cracked....yet.... she enjoys the challenge of learning something new whilst loving being terrified in equal measures.

Acknowledged by many as an expert in 'Emotions in Sport', this accolade has come about having supported West Bromwich Albion all her life, so she is no stranger to the ups and downs of competitive life, and recognises that without 'The Baggies' she probably wouldn't be the same person she is today!

She has been described by others as down-to-earth, open and funny, and would describe herself as committed, fun loving and horrendously untidy - all running at the same time!

Sessions with Louise can be booked by calling 020 8398 2127 or email louise@inside-performance.com

Julie Sale - Counselling

A Message from Julie

"As a counsellor and psychotherapist I believe we all have the capacity to grow as individuals and lead happy and fulfilling lives. I also believe that maintaining good relationships starts with having a good relationship with ourselves."

My clients often tell me that they feel “stuck”; they keep comparing themselves to others around them and believe they are “not achieving enough”. When people feel this way their relationships and enjoyment of life suffer and this can even lead to depression.

These feelings are very common. They might be familiar to you. You might be feeling an underlying feeling of sadness or dissatisfaction, but without knowing what is causing it. Together we can work to identify what may be triggering these feelings and help you move towards a more positive and happier life.

In my counselling and psychotherapy practice I use an integrative approach; these include person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and psychodynamic therapy. My approach particularly suits people who would like to understand themselves better, as well as those who want to tackle any personal, emotional and relationship problems.

To arrange your initial consultation at half price (£25) please contact me on 07946 138 444 or email me at juliesalecounselling@yahoo.com.

Rachel Shattock Dawson BA (Hons), MA, MBACP:  Psychotherapy and Counselling

I work in the NHS and in private practice at Inside Performance in Thames Ditton, and in London W1, offering both short-term counselling and longer-term psychotherapy. I see couples as well as individuals.

The most common problems I come across are depression, anxiety, addiction, bereavement, work-related problems and relationship issues. We all instinctively know that talking our problems through helps us when we are distressed. Most people need to process their feelings, and it helps to talk, think and even dream about them, sometimes over and over again. Therefore it is most helpful to do this with a trained listener who can help you gain new self-awareness and insight so that you can move forward with your life more quickly.

I am a fully-qualified integrative psychotherapist, meaning that I bring together certain aspects of different psychotherapies that I believe work better together, including person-centred, humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy).

For full details please visit my website at www.therapyonthames.co.uk. Or call me to discuss how I can help you on 07941 851308, or email me at rachel@therapyonthames.co.uk

Associates

A number of valued professional colleagues spread around the UK. All Sport Specialists, who work both directly in performance Sport and also in business, taking the knowledge of high performing teams and individuals into the corporate workplace.

Alison Maitland -BASES Accredited Sports Psychologist

Alison came to Inside Performance whilst becoming accredited in sport psychology with BASES. To develop her work with clients, she trained with Inside Performance™ as a Master Practitioner of NLP, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnotherapy. She works with governing bodies, teams and individuals at local, national and international levels, across a diverse range of sports, from real tennis, rackets and golf, to rowing, football and netball.

She has a Masters degree in Sport Coaching from Brunel University, where she is completing a PhD looking at organisational behaviour and relationships in elite rowing. She uses this research and her experience in psychology, as a lecturer and as a sport coach to a performance netball team.

Prior to focusing on sport, Alison spent a number of years as Human Resource Director of a multinational organisation. This enables her to combine her warm and human style with a strategic and developmental approach to working with clients and organisations.

In her spare time, she supports her netballing and rowing daughters (as a taxi!) and a husband with a passion for golf. Like Louise, she has football in her blood, as her great grandfather captained the England football team, although Alison claims this was in the days when it truly was the beautiful game!

You can contact Alison on 020 8398 2127 or jo@inside-performance.com

Bob Cook

Bob has a wealth of experience working in the communications industry. He worked for 19 years in BT fulfilling various roles including Project Manager, Quality Manager and also Technical Team Manager.

He eventually left BT to join an American e-commerce consultancy where he worked with many Blue Chip clients including Fujitsu-Siemens, Sony and Peugeot. For a number of years, Bob has been managing his own IT consulting company where he has continued to work with multi-national customers, such as Hitachi, Makro and Johnson & Johnson.

In his leisure time, Bob's passion is cricket - both playing and coaching. Bob has been coaching cricket for the past 8 years both for local clubs and for junior sides at Surrey County Cricket Club and it was coaching that originally brought him to the world of NLP. He was intrigued by the possibility of helping players achieve their aims of improved performance through the practice of NLP - something that he is now using to great success with the players he coaches.

As an NLP Master Practitioner and Hypnotherapist, Bob has used his skill in a wide range of areas and especially enjoys working with the removal of phobias, smoking cessation, self-confidence issues and improving personal performance, be it in Sport, Business and Life in general.

Bob is highly recommended by the clients he has worked with, and his fun, gentle and encouraging style makes him an ideal coach for both adults and youngsters.

Katie Buswell

Katie is an NLP Master Practitioner, Master Time Line Therapist and Hypnotherapist. It was during her sport science degree at Roehampton University when Katie was first introduced to NLP and she was quick to see the positive benefits, not only to her own performance but for the performance of others as well.

Whilst working and using NLP in the fitness industry as an instructor and personal trainer, Katie continued her studies in Sport Psychology with a Masters Degree at Roehampton, working with players at both Southampton football academy and Hayes and Yeading United FC for her research into the benefits of NLP for enhancing Emotional Intelligence. A key factor in the development of both successful players, coaches and business executives, Emotional Intelligence is central to the work carried out at Inside Performance, and as such, Katie has been a valued addition to the team.

Katie's passion in sport has been extremely varied from playing and coaching in both football and netball, and now Kickboxing - taking the title of 2011 N.A.K National Kickboxing Champion.
