Performance coaching for professionals in Sport related professions

Sometimes you know what you want and where you’re going, and sometimes you don’t. A lot of the time you know what to do and when ….. and other times, well ….. we’ve all been there!
Working with a Performance Coach can help you clarify where you want to go and what you want to achieve. Coaching can help you identify the skills and resources you possess, and how you can put those to their best advantage. It is also there to help you remove any obstacles or barriers getting in your way, so that the pathway towards success is as clear and direct as can be.
Performance coaching is not counselling or psychotherapy. Neither is it about telling you what to do – it’s about working with you, over an agreed period of time, encouraging you to find out for yourself what it is that you want for your own personal development plans.
Inside Performance offers confidential, one-to-one sessions for individuals committed to making changes, regardless of the area or problems being faced.
Coaching is about improving performance – in all areas of life…being outcome driven… and making positive changes to achieve the goals you set.

How does Performance Coaching work?

We like to make sure that everyone who sees us knows exactly how the process works and that they’re comfortable with it. Therefore we will invite you for an initial 30min chat or phone call free of charge, to speak to someone confidentially about the area you would like to work with and how we’ll work together to get there. Then if you’re happy, we’ll go ahead with the session(s) at the agreed rate. We will give you an honest opinion about whether we feel there is someone here who can help you, and if we can’t, we’ll do our best to recommend someone who can.
We use a mixture of approaches based on the training and expertise we have to assist you in achieving your outcomes, and will always explain what we are doing and the reasons for it so you are 100% comfortable to commit to the work needed to be done. Included in this are sport and performance psychology techniques, hypnosis, time line techniques and of course, NLP.
Our coaching system for understanding human behaviour uses these powerful tools and techniques to create the changes you need (no matter how small or big!) in the here and now in order to be more effective in everything you do.
By the simple approach of ‘how we think and feel effects the way we operate’, we can help you reveal where you want to be, what’s holding you back, and how to work with any unwanted emotions and behaviours, so you can achieve clarity on how to get what you want from life.

How has it worked for others?

Tom, a mature student studying to be a personal trainer after a career change, was experiencing increasing anxiety about the exams he had to take in order to become qualified. His anxiety was not only causing him distress, it was also affecting his work leading up to the exam and his motivation to continue with the course.
Working with one of our NLP Practitioners, Tom discovered exactly ‘how’ he was doing his problem! In other words, what were the triggers of his anxiety? What was he saying to himself about it? What was he picturing? What did he believe about himself and changing career in his late 40’s? How was he approaching the exams and what did he need to know, do and say to know that exams are not a problem for him? Using a mix of mental rehearsal, effective language techniques and state management work, Tom was able to scramble the old representation of exams he used to have in his mind, removing the anxiety and create a new choice of focus on his future.
